our mission: to give 75 freshrain systems to 75 schools by q2, 2027

why this matters

In Kenya, one in three schoolchildren—approximately 8.28 million out of 24.8 million students (UNICEF, 2020)—lacks access to clean drinking water at school. This crisis has profound consequences: waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid, and cholera contribute to 9% of under-five mortality in Kenya (WHO, 2021), with children missing an average of 20 school days per year due to illness (Kenya Ministry of Health, 2022). This absenteeism severely hampers academic performance, with studies showing a 15% drop in literacy and numeracy scores among students without reliable water access (World Bank, 2023).

We are doing something about it – and you can join us.

At InspCorp, we believe every child deserves a chance to learn and thrive without the barrier of unsafe water.

Through the FreshRain 4 Schools Campaign, we aim to transform access to clean water by installing 75 FreshRain systems in schools across Kenya.

We are starting this ambitious journey with our first school: Mwahera Junior School in Kilifi County.

Kaembeni’s Beacon: Nourishing Young Lives at Mwahera

Nestled in the remote village of Kaembeni, Ganze Sub-County, Kilifi County, Kenya, Mwahera Junior School is a beacon of hope for nearly 300 children aged 4-12 from the surrounding region. This vital refuge hosts a child development center, a church, and a Compassion International social project. Amidst crushing poverty and relentless drought, these children rely on a single daily serving of Ministry of Health-approved porridge—often their only meal—provided by the heroic Nourish and Flourish program. Every spoonful fights hunger, offering a lifeline in a land where survival hangs by a thread.

A step-by-step purification process removes dirt, fine particles, chemicals, and odors. The final microfiltration and UV disinfection eliminate 99.999% of harmful microorganisms, ensuring safe, drinkable water without the use of chemicals.

Real-time monitoring & storage for year-round access

A real-time tracking system keeps records of water levels, usage, and filtration efficiency. Optimized storage ensures a steady water supply, even during dry months, keeping students hydrated and learning all year round.

the freshrain system is already changing lives

The FreshRain system is more than just water access—it’s a catalyst for change.

In 2024, through our transformative partnership with the Kenya Red Cross, we installed the first FreshRain system at the Red Cross Social Innovation Hub IOMe254 001 in Mombasa—a city grappling with a 100,000 m³ daily water deficit. Now, hundreds of innovators have access to safe drinking water, igniting a movement for sustainability and innovation.

Clean & Affordable – High-quality water on demand, cutting costs by 70%.
Eco-Friendly – Reduces emissions by 0.5 kg CO₂-e per liter.
Inspiring Innovation – Empowering young minds to dream, build, and create.
Scalable Solution – Proving rain’s potential in a region where 80% lack access.
♻️ Driving Impact – Advancing SDG 6 for a more sustainable future.

“InspCorp’s FreshRain system has helped us provide hundreds of our young social innovators with clean drinking water, inspiring them to dream and envision a green sustainable future.”
